I noticed in your last issue that some member of Captain Woodruff’s company wants to know what was done with the money and watches taken from Bill Anderson. After paying for some horses that were killed and the blankets that were lost in the fight, the balance has been given to those soldiers who were wounded in the fight, the gold watch was given to Major Grimes by General Craig, the silver watch I have in my possession waiting orders, and as soon as I receive orders I will dispose of it accordingly. If the above is not satisfactory to that member of the company, if he will call on me I will take pleasure in showing him where every dollar went.
