In November, 2016, the Lock Springs Fire Department finished putting up the metal siding for a new fire station to house its vehicles and equipment. Doors will go up next. The building is located at the intersection of Lake Street and 2nd Street and is just off of Hwy. 190.

The metal building is approximately 50’x60′ with three doors. It will house three trucks: a brush truck; a tanker and a pumper truck. Jay Stith with Hinnen Hauling & Construction of Chillicothe did the dirt work earlier this summer. Financing is through donations; Perkins Construction donated several tons of rock.

Lock Springs Fire Department Board members include Kyle Gaunt, Will Huffman, Stan Huffman, Ron Minnick and Phil Showalter. Board members also serve on the volunteer fire department. Lock Springs Fire Chief is Kyle Gaunt.
