Pattonsburg R-2 School completed a major addition onto its campus in 2017. The new building addition was approved by voters in April, 2016. The building will house pre-school, art and band classrooms, library/media center, office space, and other classrooms.

This addition was added onto the school at Pattonsburg R-2 School (2017).
The construction also included installation of security and safety enhancements to building entrances; completion of HVAC and energy efficiency upgrades; renovations to the cafeteria; and other improvements to the existing facilities of the district as funding permitted.
Herner Construction of St. Joseph bid the project for $1,041,700. Voters approved 20-year financing of General Obligation Bonds for the amount of $1,535,000.
