Union Cemetery, located northwest of Lake Viking in Daviess County, MO. The Old Union Church was erected in 1855 and removed in 1961. This was the only house of worship in Daviess County west of Gallatin until the Civil War. Prior to church building construction, members held worship services in their homes. Charter members included James Kinkade, William Prewitt, T.P. Gilreath, Robert Hanna, James Hanna, H.W. Creekmore, Tobias Miller and their wives as well as others.

This historic marker is located on the site of the only house of worship in Daviess County west of Gallatin from 1857 until the Civil War. The church building was erected in 1855 and stood until the 1960s.
