Union Cemetery, located northwest of Lake Viking in Daviess County, MO. The Old Union Church was erected in 1855 and removed in 1961. This was the only house of worship in Daviess County west of Gallatin until the Civil War. Prior to church building construction, members held worship services in their homes. Charter members included James Kinkade, William Prewitt, T.P. Gilreath, Robert Hanna, James Hanna, H.W. Creekmore, Tobias Miller and their wives as well as others.
Visit the 1889 Squirrel Cage Jail, located 2 blocks west of the Daviess County Courthouse in Gallatin, MO. This historic relic is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a visitors’ center — by appointment,
