There always seemed to be good places to meet and eat in Gallatin, MO.

This occasion appears to be a (ca. 1960s) Christmas luncheon at Richards Cafe (west side of Gallatin square). The window shows the intersection of Market Street and West Grand (Hwy 6). From left are Alma Wynn, “Miss Floss” Engle, Maud (Mrs. Oscar) Fitterer, Mrs. Frank Fitterer, Oscar Fittere, Gladys Selby and Helen Weldon Burge.

Lee and Gene Morris once operated a popular restaurant on the west side of the Gallatin square. (circa 1980s)

A popular restaurant serving customers from this building located at 104 North Market on the west side of the Gallatin business square was Yuille’s Cafe. Years later and after the building sat vacant, the Masonic Lodge took possession of the property about 2010 with hopes of restoration for their use.
