This very plain vernacular building was erected in 1871 to house the Lick Fork Baptist Church congregation.

The church was located six miles east of Hwy 13 on Route M, then 1.4 miles south and 1.25 miles west. The church building was open and available for public use when this historical survey was conducted in 1979.
