General Orders No. 2

I. The attention of every one in this sub-district, is especially called to the duty of reporting to the nearest military post the of Confederate officers or soldiers, bushwhackers or guerrillas in their respective neighborhoods.

II. Any person in this sub-district who may at any time have knowledge of the existence of Confederate officers or soldiers, bushwhackers of guerrillas in their vicinity and shall fail to give notice thereof to the nearest military post, at the earliest practicable period, will be held in complicity with them and will be treated accordingly.
