Some time ago the Grand River township board contracted for the purchase of a rock crushing machine to be delivered whenever the new highway project turned out favorable.

Within the past few days the cross country highway from No. 69 near Civil Bend east through Jameson and Grand River township to SK near Barnett school house has been assured, and preliminary work of all kinds along the route of the new project has been moving forward as rapidly as possible.

According to former plans the new rock crusher arrived here the first of this week, and will be placed in position on the former W. O. Gaines farm, now occupied by Grover C. Hoyle, and expects to begin "grinding" rock some time next Saturday.

The new rock crushing machine is one of the latest models of stone crushers, and is claimed to have a capacity of 10 to 15 yards of rock per hour, which will mean around 100 to 150 yards of paving rock per day. <197> Jameson Gem.
